I'm sorry to inform you that you'll have to look elsewhere for reading material July 14-20.
Because I'll be at YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK!
I found out today that I'll be able to take the time off work to fly to Montana with my family. Two weeks from tomorrow. As in really soon. Which is good, considering I've never been much for the whole "patiently waiting" thing.
I cannot begin to tell you how stoked I am about this. I've wanted to go there ever since I can remember. The mountains. The hiking. The fishing. The rafting. The horseback riding. The wildlife. The views. Are you kidding me? It's like heaven on earth. And according to the Web site, the highs for July are in the 70s. Hallelujah. Some relief from this 100 degree weather!
You know I'll bring back plenty of pictures to share. If only I was a talented photographer like the impressive Dan Felstead. Dan, your pictures never cease to amaze me. I need a crash course in photography ASAP! I want to snag a close up of a bison.
Anyway, Montana and Wyoming ... here I come!!

Wow, that is very exciting Heather. I would love to visit Yellowstone someday. I hope you have a fabulous trip and great weather and all that other stuff too! I can't wait to see all of your pictures!
I'm SO EXCITED for you :) Yellowstone is a beautiful vacation destination. I really look forward to your photos. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
Can wait to see your pics! My photographer son's best tip is to slow down and really "see" the picture Before you take it. Set it up, don't just snap everything. And put people in every photo you can. It makes them more interesting later on.
The 70 degree weather sounds like Heaven to me!!!!
I WILL share in your excitement! I'm so happy for you! Can't wait to see your pictures and read your stories!
YOU GO GIRL! I have to admit...I am very jealous...but I have to try to control it! Have a great time and I do wish you the best time and pictures any girl can have during summer. It will be a trip to remember. By the way..thank you for kind words on the photography...I am blushing! You will take great pictures. When you get back...email me some and I will finish them in photoshop for you if you want. Stay safe! Smokey the bear tends to get hungry now and then...in the Rockies...smokey is quite a bit bigger than in the Smokies!
Dan
HAVE FUN!! I've never been to Yellowstone but it's on my list! You'll have to let us know all about it, but please, be a little more outdoorsy than on your last getaway!!!
Woo hoo! That will be most excellent.
You'll enjoy Yellowstone, but definitely travel to the Grand Tetons and Jackson Hole if you can.
The Tetons are AMAZING......
Did I ever tell you I went to high school in Montana and my parents and one brother still live there? Yellowstone is awesome ... but I actually prefer Glacier (more up north near Canada). But check out the huge geyser and the hot springs. Totally cool. My dad knows Yellowstone pretty good if you have any questions.
That sounds amazing! You'll get some great pictures. I love national parks, they make wonderful vacations.
And yet again, I'm jealous!! Have a wonderful time, darlin' and take loads of pictures!
Ugh... I just sneezed unexpectedly, all over my monitor. UGH. Gotta go clean up now.
Oh how FUN and exciting! Looking forward to all of the pics :) XO
So gorgeous. I bet you'll have a blast!
