Dog for a day

Well, Skippy is no longer Toby's little playmate. Mr. Joe came and picked him up this afternoon to keep for another lady until Monday. She has a girl dog, so they're hoping the dominance thing won't be an issue. I HATE that things turned out like this. I was so excited!

But, you know...for the few hours that Toby was outside with him last night (before I had to go separate them) the house was almost too quiet. I know I get aggravated with him, but he's pretty good company... for the most part. I'd probably wind up missing him if he was outside all the time. Yeah, he's hairy and smelly and slobbery and he jumps on my face when I'm trying to sleep, but he makes my life interesting.

Looks like I should've read through a little further before commenting on the last post. I'm playing catch up. Sorry it didn't work out! You need little Toby in the house with you, keeping you company anyways. Hopefully Skip will get along much better with his new friend.

I'm with you on putting up with the whole hairy/stinky thing. My dog is never more than 5 feet from me... and I like it that way :)

Glad to know Toby has you all to himself again. He is a needy little dog and although I never want to share my home with a dog again (after 16 years with a golden in the house), I couldn't bare the thought of my little "Toby tobes" being left outside all the time and losing some of that personality that makes him so darn lovable.
